LG international plans to build a methanol comprehensive project in Indonesia according to the Jakarta Post recently, LG international of South Korea plans to invest in the construction of a large methanol petrochemical complex in Bintuni Industrial Zone, West Papua province, Indonesia. The design capacity of the unit is 1million tons/year, and it will produce synthetic ammonia, urea, methanol, polyethylene and polypropylene. The project will take about 3, 2017, when the development of new material industry will start a new journey year. it is reported that the company needs the Indonesian government to ensure sufficient natural gas supply. The project will require 91 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day
